Virtual Marketing for Recruitment Companies

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
In Other Words…How to get your website noticed

Use popular search terms in your body copy: don’t get caught in the trap of choosing keywords from your brand’s tag line or slogan – think about what you would type into Google, not what your company wants users to type.

Keyword concentration: make sure popular key words appear close to the top of the page. Aim to include around five popular keywords in every 100 words of website copy.

Website tags: keywords should not just appear within the marketing content of a website. Look for tags that allow classification of your site. Ensure that keywords are reflected here to boost your ranking.

Links: the number and quality of sites that link to your site is an indicator of your authority and relevance. You can build links naturally by creating valuable information for your site which can act as a knowledge base for people to link to. Engage in proactive online PR and anything else that promotes links directly to your site.

Cheats never prosper: dirty tricks such as hidden pages riddled with nothing but key words or peppering pages with invisible key words (white text written on a white background) won’t boost your ranking for long. Competitors will report suspect advances, which may even isolate your company from its results altogether!
